Zarinah’s experience as a scientist has led them to run a non-profit that aims to conduct social science ‘in the wild’. To this end, Zarinah managed a groundbreaking 22-bedroom experimental hotel in San Francisco, a unique establishment that went beyond conventional hospitality. This innovative space doubled as a social science-themed hotel, community hub, and research laboratory dedicated to citizen science. Within its walls, Dr. Agnew orchestrated cutting-edge social science experiments, exploring themes of trust, generosity, and strategies for addressing social isolation within naturalistic settings. Through this pioneering initiative, the hotel not only offered a distinctive lodging experience but also served as a catalyst for advancing our understanding of human behavior and fostering solutions to pressing social challenges. Zarinah brings 15 years of academic and scientific experience into their present day work. If your organisation is ready to run transformative experiments, we would be happy to help create this vision.
